People queuing up for this coconut blended with vanilla ice cream.

The longkang si ham/cockles stall at Jalan Bunga Raya.

Delicious cockles. They also have lala/clam, sotong and many more!

Yummy Si Poh which consist of cutter fish, spinach, cucumber, peanut

and the mixture of delicious sauce.

And this is the best popia I have ever eaten!

Officially started my internship yesterday at Petaling Jaya.

Learning new things is fun and this keeps me going daily.

But the only bad thing is the horrible jam everytime I finished work. Gosh. What is the use of highway?

Note to self: Must be thankful for a car.

   Must be thankful that I got an internship in a MNC.

I believe God blessed me to be good in studies and I too put lots of effort in it. Since primary school I have always been an above average student. I do not consider myself smart as there are others better than me.

When I scored 5As in UPSR, my parents gave me RM50. As I entered secondary school, I was placed in the 1st class and I always managed to be top 10 with a total percentage of more than 80%. When I scored 7As for PMR, my parents gave me RM350 and RM900 for straight 9As in SPM.

My parents never really complimented me for being a top student. I still remember one incident clearly during form 1. I got number 1 in class whereas my friend got number 8. For her, her parents bought her a Hello Kitty platinum necklace. For me? Hmm, I think my mum said "Good."

I never remembered my dad ever coming to my school on report card day except during form 6 and that was because I forced him to. I scored the highest CPGA and I wanted him to come and see my hard work.

Perhaps my parents think I could do better than my elder brother? And come to think of it, my parents did not really compliment my brother also except for cash prices during PMR and SPM.

Well, I did this post is not to brag about how smart I am. This are God's blessings. This post just happened to come into my mind when recently a friend of mine posted in FB saying his/her dad is going to buy an Iphone 4 as a graduation present.

Anyway, I think my brother and I both received our present already way before we graduated. A car to drive =)

For the sake of thesis,

I sacrificed my November-December semester break to do lab in uni.

Faced the laptop everyday doing thesis.

Read about 70 over ~~boring~~ journals.

Edited 500 over spectroscopy data using Excel until my eyes went blurred.

Kept on ~~bugging~~ meeting my supervisor to consult him. Thanks a lot Prof. Lee for the guidance!

Stayed up late nights to edit thesis.

Prepared very hard for thesis presentation, reading books and journals.

Worrying over and over again for those small little things.

And finally, after 5 months of hard work I present you with

my official thesis!

Damn proud with my name on it.

Handed it in yesterday to the faculty.

Signed, sealed and delivered.

I am currently having a week of study break and then 2 weeks of exam. After that I bid goodbye to UKM.

They order San Francisco Special and it was not good. The pizza had too much flour.

Seriously. too much.

Actually Tze Chooi and I wanted to eat their Pasta as it was on promotion of 1/2 price on the second purchase, well according to the promotion on GoEatOut. However, the waiter said the promotion is no longer available. Such disappointment! Pizza San Francisco gave us a bad impression and we would never return.

A Day in Sunway Giza

Spent half a day at Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara with the super girlfriends. Don't go there for shopping because there isn't many boutiques, instead go there for food as there is Fullhouse, Plus One Shabu Shabu, Beer Factory, Movida, Ichiban Boshi etc. Much more food outlets than clothing.

Although the buffet side is small but they have a variety of 40 over dishes from the ala carte menu.

Overall the food was not bad. A few dishes that were nice are salmon, sashimi,

Dessert were nice as well such. There were ice cream, scones, cheese tart, puding etc.

We wanted to sing k and decided to try out the karaoke lounge, Teo Heng KTV Studio since we were already in Sunway Giza. And my gosh! That would be the first and last time I would be going there. The room for is small, the screen is too close and the audio system sucks. Oh ya, they only provide 2 microphones. Additional ones cost RM 3 each. Price wise? Well, same price as Neway and Redbox and you have to pay once you enter the room. Afraid of us leaving after seeing the room condition?

Fuh, finally handed in my thesis this morning.

Spent last week editing my thesis until late nights after my supervisor checked it. Sitting in front of the laptop whole day just doing thesis until my eyes seriously went blurred. I am so not going to do that anymore!

And right now, I have to prepare presentation slides and prayed that I don't get shoot. Hmm, need to prepare bullet vest.

Beloved faculty which I will leave in few weeks time. Can't wait.

It has been a long journey.

A breakaway to 1U yesterday which we were supposed to hand in our thesis to our respective supervisors. A great day to just get away from our laptops, typing and typing whole day long. And this means I am also one step closer to finishing this final semester.

Overall the food in Italiannies was quite big in portion so sharing is recommended. The pastas were tastier then other dishes even the pizzas. For beverage, I recommend Strawberry Colada, Casablanca and fresh fruit shakes. Oh ya the service they provide was good too. And of course, all this comes with a good price. For pastas and pizzas the prices starts from RM 28 onwards while beverages from RM 7 onwards.

Toto is a black mixed breed Labrador that stayed with us for 12 years.

It was really difficult to take picture with this dog

because it moves around

looks at me instead of the camera in front

The sight of a beautiful moon on the last day of CNY which I spent the day studying for a test on that night. I would be graduating on September and April would be my last month in uni. Time flies huh?

One of their franchise is located in Desa Aman Puri, few shops

beside King's confectionery.

It's so interested and fun!

Finally after 5 semesters, I have the opportunity to take up sign language because in previous semesters, the class clashed with my majors. Plus, I only have 3 majors this final semester which made me quite free. Yeah, finally a more relaxing semester after 5 ~~freaking~~ busy semesters.

Remember how I complaint every time about having so many things to do? Well, I won't do that this semester =D

I just attended the second class last Tuesday and I am enjoying it. I even took my first test already.

Chapter 1.

Well, the downside about learning sign language in UKM is I am learning it in Bahasa Malaysia. I am not too sure whether the signs are international or not. But the book I am using is in BM. Will check it out with my lecturer next week.

On the other hand, my lecturer said that at the end of the course, we would be able to communicate with the deaf and mute. Looking forward to learn more =)

We sat in the mezzanine floor where it was quite cold and the environment was more comfortable compared to outside which was so hot and noisy. Overall the food was just okay except for the pizza which was surprisingly nicest among all.

What did I do on Christmas Day?

Ate Tang Yuan!

Winter Solstice was on 22nd of December but I was in uni, so my lovely mummy saved some for me.

Then it was family dinner at Nice Soup Gang Restaurant, Taman Daya, Kepong. This place is famous for their soups and it is always pack during the weekends. Well, we did not have any soup, instead we tried the "Pen Chai."

Basically Pen Chai have 3 layers.

1st layer consist of abalone, fish maw, scallop, squid and other expensive items such as prawn etc. 2nd layer consist of duck feet, 3 types of mushroom, beancurd, pork belly and pig skin. 3rd layer consist of vegetables such as cabbage and radish. Variety of each layer depends on restaurant

Took a trip down south to Muar last Friday for a BBQ birthday celebration. Yes, BBQ again. Haha!

Out of the blue, my daddy wanted to BBQ. So here we go, a simple BBQ at home with the most delicious beef! The last time we BBQ-ed at home was when I was in primary school. That's like 10 years ago.

Finally some positive progress in my lab work. Wasted 2 weeks of waiting to use an instrument all thanks to a guy whom keep on lying to us. And this fella had to put his anger on us! How inappropriate.We are just undergraduates that doesn't know anything. It wasn't us that brought problems to you in the first place. Damn.

Hopefully I will be able to finish my lab work by end of December.

Life in uni has been really unbalance for me. Once I am busy, I would be very busy. Once I am free, I would be so free. In the previous semesters, I was super duper busy that I was always lacking in sleep. However now, my current weekdays routine is lab from morning till evening then stay in the room in the night. And I can't do lab everyday also because we need to take turns to use the instrument. Then I would have nothing to do.

Need to start to have a more balance life.

Oh ya, any activities for Christmas?

A Productive Day

Today was indeed one productive day, unlike the previous few days rotting at home. Headed to Renewal Lutheran Church (RLC) for the morning service, then to Sunway Pyramid for some shopping and last stop was Village Park Restaurant for late lunch.

Church service was great. Pastor Joseph spoke about "Increase Your Capacity with Explosive Blessings," Hag 2:6-10. Shopping was not bad either as I bought ~~another~~ heels at Vincci with 20% discount and William got his sport gears. He is now all prepared for futsal and swimming. Haha. Lunch was awesome with the famous Nasi Lemak at PJ Uptown. Yummy!

Come on, I am in the spirit to start my lab work for my final year project! Hopefully I would be able to finish it within 5 weeks of this semester break. Yes, I am sacrificing my semester break to stay in ~~jungle~~ UKM. How sad is that?

Unfortunately I would not be operating this RM 6 million machine. Just put to show off that UKM has this!

Thanks to a voucher given by Astro, I get to enjoy the new cheesy pizzas by Pizza Hut.

Ordered Cheesy Pepperoni, Cheesy Chicken and Cheesy Hawaiian. Overall it was not bad actually. The amount of cheese was quite a lot especially cheddar cheese which gave the strongest taste.

Now I need to shade off all the fats and oil inside my body. By the way, I still have the voucher though. The delivery man forgot to take it from me or I suppose I just need to show it to them? Anyone wants to use it? I had enough and it's valid till 31st December 2010.

Amazing Race and Survivor progress show far - 4 done, 4 more to go.

Yesterday I had a paper at 330pm and this morning I had another exam at 830am. 2 papers in less than 24 hours! I only slept for 3 hours and when my friend saw me just now, she said

Why Amazing Race?
Because I have to finish 7 majors within 7 days of exam. Rushing to study and study and study.

Why Survivor?
Because I need to survive within this 7 days and then face the verdict of this marathon.

Hmm, can human survive 7 days without sleeping?

Disappointments

My lecturer posted up marks for Symmetry in Molecule's midsem exam yesterday. And by the looks of it, he was very disappointed, extremely disappointed. Just take a look and you would know why.

Full mark were 50. Some people did okay but majority of the class made him feel sad.

Due to Deepavali, the whole exam timetable changed again and I was affected. I don't mind having longer holidays as it is important to the Indians. But dear uni, why change it last minute?! As a result, on 30 and 31 Oct I would have one major each. This means from 25-31 Oct onwards, I am going to have 7 majors' marathon.

My uni thinks we are supermen.

Many people complained and it turns out there would be some changes. But I don't care anymore. This uni is giving me a bad time. This is the worst semester ever.

I don't give a damn anymore.
I just want to get over my exams.

And I just want to graduate.

3 more weeks and this gruesome semester would be over. UKM really knows how to love her students. 8 majors was horrible already, then came the news that there is no study week and more horror is that Chemistry students have 5 majors each day packed ~~like a sardine can~~ into the first week of exam. I heard Food Science students have also 5 majors on the first week and worse, they have 2 majors on the same day. Talk about sleeping. This is how our beloved uni show her love to us.

And my problem now is I can't seem to be focusing. My mind is full of thesis. I keep thinking of my lab and my thesis writing. Why am I thinking of such things now when I am suppose to be thinking of finals?!

A Week

Wow totally forgot about this blog.

Yes, I have been busy. Super busy.

Monday submitted my proposal to my supervisor. Hopefully there isn't any major changes. Tuesday was Electrochemistry exam. So of course I was busy studying. Thought of relaxing a bit on Wednesday but Thursday had another last minute Kinetics exam. I happily thought it was the last exam, mana tau next Thursday got another exam. The killer paper of all, Symmetry in Molecule. Lecturer is already halfway teaching and I can tell you that I have no idea what he has been talking about.

I haven't been touching any other subjects for the past few weeks and there are just too many to catch up. In additional, I haven't get feedback from lecturer regarding my thesis proposal and next Friday is the due date!
It's another busy week ahead =(

Yup, it has been 4 years. No, this post is not about William and I but about good friends that I met in NS 2006. I remember on my first few days, I wanted to go back so badly that I called mum everyday and cried through the phone. After I met them, I didn't want to go back anymore. And looking back now, thanks to their existence that made me enjoy NS =)

We have always been meeting up with each other whenever we are free and never fail to do so for the past four years. Well, one thing good is we all stay nearby. Puchong-Bandar Utama-Kepong. Only Sheryl is a bit far. So Sheryl, if you are reading, WHEN ARE YOU COMING UP AGAIN? WE SERIOUSLY MISS YOU.

And Mei Yang also which is currently in Russia pursuing her doctor ambition. A cute doctor to be!

Anyway, I met up with Janice and Li Jing last Thursdays at 1 Utama and as always a great time =)

Met up with Chee Hoe and Marsha today. Had Sushi King at Jusco Metro Prima. Although it was just a short few hours lunch but I really miss the time we have always chatted in the past. Sometimes people tend to give many stupid excuses.

Why?

Because that is human nature-selfish.

Because some people are scared of losing to someone better than them.

That's normal in life. However if a close friend did this, how would you react?

For me, I forgave the person long time ago, but I also made my point that the person does not deserve to be called a friend anymore.
