Of People

Being a receptionist and someone new in the company as well, I came to realized a lot of things.

There was this Malay guy who came for interview to be a technician so I gave him an application form to fill in. When he was in the education history and co-curriculum segment, he actually asked me a question.

"Em miss arr, boleh saya letak saja resume saya dan tak perlu isi bahagian ini?"

What?! If you do that, means you are lazy and that is not a good 1st impression on the interviewer. So my answer was,

"Kamu kena isi semua bahagian yang dikehendaki."

He looked at me, disappointed.
I looked at him, angrily.

Then yesterday came 3 collegue students interviewing for graphic designer intership. Same thing, I gave them the form.

There was this gal that asked me a lot of questions and I was kind of pissed off. She asked me this meaning, that meaning, etc. And, she even asked me this,

(in horrible broken English) "Do I need to fill in this working experience part? But I am still a student wor... "

(stern voice) "You can write your part time jobs experiences."

After a few minutes, she came back again asking,

"Excuse me arr miss, what is employer?"

I vomitted blood on the spot. I gathered all my patience and explain to her in Mandarin and she went back and explained to her friends.

I am teaching people how to fill in an application form. |Faints|

The next thing is I got a lot of scolding from customers calling to find a particular person. Hey it's not my fault that they don't pick up their calls, if it is SO important then you should straight away call their cellphones. But I still can serve people with a smile =)

Definetly a good way to improve patience. But this does not mean you can try me.

Not only that, there was a particular collegue that was trying to find fault with me. She insisted that I transfered wrongly to her department instead to the Customer Service but I am very sure that I never "touched" her dept unless there was a name from that dept requested by the caller. Walau, I will remember her angry face forever.

Oh by the way, Sony's Customer Interaction Number is 1300-88-1233.
Any problems or enquiry, please just dail that number. Haha

And not to forget, marble cheese cake of the day =B
