Pesta Kuih Bulan Kolej Pendeta Za'ba

So I attended Zaba's Pesta Tanglung yesterday. Can't believe that I actually attended the event considering I am an ex-Yihua which is not active at all. I decided not to join Yihua anymore during 1st year as the people there, in my opinion were not friendly and likes to stick to their own group of friends.

Actually I went to support Xian Luan, Chin Foo, Ray and Pei San. This year, juniors feel different. They are more open minded, jovial and capable someone told me this. Overall the event was okay to me.

Statement: Whatever comment I made is just merely my opinion as a guest. Whether or not it should be taken seriously is up to the readers on judgment. Must make this sentence if not kena tembak by yihua people. haha

The opening ceremony started at 3pm with Za'ba's new pengetua kolej as the VVIP. Sorry did not get the name. There was also a competition on designing Tanglung which I felt that some groups did not really bother to make the effort to do it. Why? Because there was one made out of plain white papers and the other just out of newpapers tied up with rubberband. Don't do better right?




The theme for this year's event was Different Culture One Union, so there was Chinese fan dance, Malay dance and of couse Indian dance too. Oh ya, Za'ba's kolej song was sung too and honestly I missed the song. It's very nice ok! Whoever got the song please send to me =)




There was also a modern dance by a group of girls which I felt it's more to aerobic with all the kicking, a bit of tradisional chinese dance with all the hand twisting and also the cute cute girl poses and actions. Last year's hip hop dance was a blast ok! Then the next show was a drama on the history of the mooncake festival which was quite difficult to understand and I could see the pengetua resting his head on his hand and his pose changed several times. Oh ya there was also a hip hop dance group.




Lastly was a fashion show, showing different culture's tradisional wear and the event ended with a groupie song. There were 3 stalls selling food that came; China burger, Chicken Chop and Mat Doh Yao, a dessert stall.





After that Yihua had its very own DJ team. You know, like the radio roadshow team where they play games and give out presents? Same thing here. So to those who wasn't there, you guys really missed the fun and of couse the opportunity to get freebies.




Towards the evening, there was a game Newspaper Makeover. Juniors could really come out with all sort of funny ideas from plain Sailormoon to booty Sailormoon! Hahaha

In the night there were more activities like talent show and games but I did not stay until the event ended as it began to feel bored for me. And I want to thank Ai Yung senior for giving me this;
