Nothing To Brag About

I believe God blessed me to be good in studies and I too put lots of effort in it. Since primary school I have always been an above average student. I do not consider myself smart as there are others better than me.

When I scored 5As in UPSR, my parents gave me RM50. As I entered secondary school, I was placed in the 1st class and I always managed to be top 10 with a total percentage of more than 80%. When I scored 7As for PMR, my parents gave me RM350 and RM900 for straight 9As in SPM.

My parents never really complimented me for being a top student. I still remember one incident clearly during form 1. I got number 1 in class whereas my friend got number 8. For her, her parents bought her a Hello Kitty platinum necklace. For me? Hmm, I think my mum said "Good."

I never remembered my dad ever coming to my school on report card day except during form 6 and that was because I forced him to. I scored the highest CPGA and I wanted him to come and see my hard work.

Perhaps my parents think I could do better than my elder brother? And come to think of it, my parents did not really compliment my brother also except for cash prices during PMR and SPM.

Well, I did this post is not to brag about how smart I am. This are God's blessings. This post just happened to come into my mind when recently a friend of mine posted in FB saying his/her dad is going to buy an Iphone 4 as a graduation present.

Anyway, I think my brother and I both received our present already way before we graduated. A car to drive =)

Exam

Exam:

is 30% to test you understanding. Don't understand? Never mind. Memorize can already.

is 70% to test your memory. If you have super good memory, you can score.

is about pass year questions. People with pass year questions would score better since they already knew the answers.

is about luck. Maybe the examiner marking your paper just had a bay day. All the "maybes" and human error

is about time management for both teacher and student.

is about the marking SCHEME. Follow the scheme, okay. Don't follow, you are in trouble.

is to decide your fate in this education system.

Malaysia

Although our country is not perfect but at least it is free from natural disasters.


So as you complain this and that about Malaysia, think of those people staying in countries that are threaten by natural disasters.

Malaysia might not be perfect in terms of politics, economics, education and etc, but hey is there a country so perfect in this world?


Thank God for Malaysia.

And pray for Japan.

Public Holiday

One good thing about staying in Malaysia is the public holidays.

Thanks to the country's football team, we got an extra public holiday today! 

Hopefully our athletes would win the Thomas Cup, get in to FIFA or World Cup, win Olympic medals and have more great achievements  so we can have more holidays. Hehe =P

Eye Bags

I need to get rid of eye bags =(

I have been sleeping 8 hours daily and applying Garnier Eye Roll but I think my eye bags are still that deep.

RM40 for 3 regular pizzas

Thanks to a voucher given by Astro, I get to enjoy the new cheesy pizzas by Pizza Hut.

Ordered Cheesy Pepperoni, Cheesy Chicken and Cheesy Hawaiian. Overall it was not bad actually. The amount of cheese was quite a lot especially cheddar cheese which gave the strongest taste. 

Now I need to shade off all the fats and oil inside my body. By the way, I still have the voucher though. The delivery man forgot to take it from me or I suppose I just need to show it to them? Anyone wants to use it? I had enough and it's valid till 31st December 2010.

Piggy Bank

 

William won this piggy bank during the recent station games organized by Kolej Pendeta Za'ba in conjuction of Pesta Ang Pau(PAP). He gave me the pig and told me to roast make good use of it. Wow, hinting me to start saving up more money for his graduation present I suppose? Haha =P

Can go and buy 4D number with 3793. The additional 3 is because my course is 3 years.

Sorry for ranting. Just feel like typing something so there you have it. Haha =P

Oh by the way, UKM has speakers corner behind PTSL where students are free to hentam speak any topic or give opinions about UKM but of course there is limit to sensitive issues.Click here.

that politicians would grow up. No more fighting in Dewan Rakyat like kids.

that politicians would put rakyat first instead of keep on finding other politicians' fault.

that politicians walk the talk not talk the talk.

that Malaysians would be more considerate and polite especially in KTM.

that KTM would no longer be Keretaapi Taktepat Masa instead Keretaapi Terbaik Malaysia.

that the police concentrate on reducing crimes and stop "eating".

that Malaysians would have work etiquette like the Japanese.

that the 4% tax on everything we buy would not be impose.

that people be nice to opposite races.

that taxi drivers don't cut throats anymore.

that public toilets are much cleaner.

that KL won't be so jam anymore.

that there would be no more berat sebelah in the education system.

to have a better environment in Malaysia.

that Science and Maths to be taught in English.

that UKM would start teaching Science subjects in English.

that UKM would stop forcing people to attend activities.

that UKM stop creating useless subjects.

that lecturers don't be so lazy.

that everything in Malaysia would be improved. Otherwise, I rather migrate.

Hopefully bolehlah like this KTM worker.
Although being offered place to sit, but he declined and stand carrying a heavy monitor.
Taiko was like that too when he was in UNITEN, carrying a monitor back then every weekend when laptop was way too expensive.



Conclusion is, let us all continue to pray for our country, Malaysia.

Is There Such A Law?

It was a cold and comfy Sunday morning. Ahh, what a suitable condition to sleep. All of a sudden, the sound of sirens awakens the folks of Desa Jaya at 9am. Then came along 3 ambulances. Is there fire? Accident? Are people injured?

Few minutes later, they were shocked to see what were behind the 3 ambulances. A wedding car and the followers. Sorry for this wake up call folks, but it's just a wedding of an ambulance driver in the neighborhood.

Is this action allowed? Just because it's a wedding of an ambulance driver does not give them, the ambulance drivers the right to on the siren. What are the sirens for? It's for emergency purposes! How can they misuse this privilege to force other cars in front giving way to them?

Okay, maybe they could use the ambulances but with the siren on? That is just too much.

Spectacles

I came down with a sore eye 2 days ago and have been forced to wear spectacles since then. Ever since I started wearing contact lenses in 2006, I totally forgot the feeling of wearing glasses. Now, I desperately need my contact lenses back! So uncomfortable wearing glasses. It's too heavy for my face. Haha =P

Beware!

A friend's house was on fire yesterday. It all happened because a housemate was boiling water and then she went to class totally forgetting about the water. Fire-fighters came thanks to a alert neighbor. Only the kitchen was badly burnt but the whole house is damn smelly, hot and full of smoke every inch it could go.




This is just a part of the house. Everything single thing from small to big is black. They were really lucky because the gas tank did not explode. So to all people out that, please be careful. My suggestion is that when you already start the fire, please be in front of it, constantly watching over it no matter you are a forgetful person or not.


Don't play- play with fire.
