LBD

LBD = Little Black Dog.

Toto is a black mixed breed Labrador that stayed with us for 12 years.

It was really difficult to take picture with this dog

because it moves around

looks at me instead of the camera in front

and then looks away. Argh!

And it has many patterns.

sleeps like an acrobat

stuck itself in the gate

gives me a weird angle to take photo

shows me its tongue when I am trying to capture a decent photo

then show me a pitiful look when I was going to bath it

pitiful eyes saying, "Please don't bath me!"

has to dirtied itself back after a bath resulting in another bath

gets scared when it rains with thunderstorm

Nevertheless,

Toto was so cool.

If you are wandering why I am using past tense, well Toto left us on 16 May 2010. *here*
It will always be in my heart and forever part of this family. Just found pictures of it so
I made this post in remembrance of my house's Little Black Dog

LBD =)

Grandpa

This is my grandpa. My mother's father whom took care of me for 7 years.
Driving me here and there for school and tuitions.
Buying me lunches when I come back from school.
Always being patient and waiting for me to come home.

He is 80 this year and enjoying life.
Still healthy and strong.
Still can drive like a F1 driver
Haha.

Sogo

Sales preview today at Sogo was crazy!

It was so crowded although only S-card members can enter. However, if you are not one, you could also apply on the spot. And no joke, things were really cheap.

Christmas Day

What did I do on Christmas Day?

Ate Tang Yuan
Winter Solstice was on 22nd of December but I was in uni, so my lovely mummy saved some for me.

Red bean flavor.

Smooth and round.

Peanut flavor.

Enjoying huh?
Look at the happy face. Haha =D

Then it was family dinner at Nice Soup Gang Restaurant, Taman Daya, Kepong. This place is famous for their soups and it is always pack during the weekends. Well, we did not have any soup, instead we tried the "Pen Chai."

Basically Pen Chai have 3 layers.

1st layer consist of abalone, fish maw, scallop, squid and other expensive items such as prawn etc. 2nd layer consist of duck feet, 3 types of mushroom, beancurd, pork belly and pig skin. 3rd layer consist of vegetables such as cabbage and radish. Variety of each layer depends on restaurant

3rd layer.

Some up close shoots of

abalone

And more abalone.
My favorite!

huge mushroom.

One word to describe it all,

YUMMY!

BBQ

Out of the blue, my daddy wanted to BBQ. So here we go, a simple BBQ at home with the most delicious beef! The last time we BBQ-ed at home was when I was in primary school. That's like 10 years ago.

Dad starting the fire.

Fresh prawns!
Had also beef, chicken fillet, squid, sausages and chicken wings.

Healthy BBQ with lots of salad.

Dad's secret recipe

Time to start the BBQ!

The professional cook in action.

Yummy beef.

And for the drinks, red and white wine.

One thing why I prefer having BBQs at home is because we can have beef! And my dad grills the most delicious beef. He just knows when the beef is ngam ngam cooked.Haha, welcome to the beef lover family =)

Oh ya, what a waste we did not have any otak-otak to BBQ!

I Salute You

Just finished Skype-ing with my older brother awhile ago. In case you didn't know, he left everything in Malaysia and went to Adelaide in February. Thank God for blessing him with a job a month ago. He is now a network engineer on 3 months probation and hopefully he would be confirmed then.

For a lazy pig who does not do anything at home, I guess he really had a hard time doing groceries shopping and house chores, even cooking! Seriously mum was very worried as he does not do any of this while he was at home. He told me that doing the few months that he was jobless, it was quite difficult for him. He had to count every penny before spending, plan in advance and really have self-control.

God really has His planning. God blessed him with a job right on time. The salary is quite good and the office is just 15 minutes walking distances from his house. Everything seems to be settled down for him now and I am really happy for him.

My brother is so brave and well-planned. I wonder if I am able to follow in his brave footsteps and migrate in the future. Well, as the saying goes; when there's a will, there's a way.

Already saving hard for my Adelaide trip next year!

No More

After serving my family for 12 years, the dog finally left us at 11am this morning. Life has been really hard for it the past year. It was getting really old. It could not walk nor stand properly. It was losing it's appetite and getting skinnier day by day. Yesterday night was the most torturous for it and for me. It was howling and crying in pain whole night. I did ask God to take it away right now.Why want to put this little creature in such pain, dear God? The sound of the dog crying was just unbearable. I guess only God knows why. I just need to get use to the fact that the house will no longer have a dog around.

No more tail wagging everytime I come back.
No more cute faces to look at.
No more loud barking.
No more playing around in the garden.
No more hugs and kisses.
No more place to pour out my heart.
No more fur to touch.
No more manja-manja.
No more everything with Toto.

Goodbye, thanks for everything for the past 12 years.

Daorae

My dad said a very shocking sentence yesterday; "Let's go for Korean BBQ." Seriously, I was stunned when he said that because my dad usually don't fancy all those other country's food. He even suggested Daorae Korea BBQ Restaurant!

Went to the Sri Hartamas branch as Kepong branch was fully booked.

 Daddy & Mummy

So many side dishes which was refillable.

It make my mum think which to eat first. Haha

The beef was tender and juicy!

Their beef is very delicious. Can fight with Coliseum's beef

Korean seafood noodles. The noodles was so chewable and
the soup was so nice!

Besides the awesome food, the place provides good service which of course comes with a good price. Our bill? Although RM210 but it was totally worth it. Daorae satisfied my dad's choosy tummy and made me one happy girl =)

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
